Betting in accordance with Article 1 is administered by "Bolabet" (hereafter referred to as "The organiser"). Bolabet Company Limited, a limited liability company incorporated in the Republic of Zambia with its registered office at 9 Downtown Shopping Mall, Kafue Road, Lusaka, Zambia, is responsible for offering the betting outlined in Article 1.

Article 3 - Terms and Conditions for Participant Engagement

These rules constitute the general conditions for concluding the agreement between the organizer and the participants upon gaining access, by the participant, to participate in all forms of betting offered by the organizer. The agreement and acknowledgement by the participant that they have read and understood the entirety of these rules, terms and conditions is finalized when the participant registers and makes the initial payment to the organizer for participation in the various forms of betting. Both the organizer and participants are bound by these rules and are fully obliged to comply with these rules, terms and conditions.

Article 4 - Organiser’s Obligations and Responsibilities

The organizer, in the context of betting, has specific obligations towards participants. These responsibilities extend to the effective management and protection of all assets and resources associated with the betting activities, entrusted to the organizer by the respective participant during the normal course of the betting process.

Article 5 - Definitions of Key Terms in the Betting Process

  1. Playing via Interactive Communication Channels - This term refers to the engagement in games of chance using various interactive channels such as the Internet, SMS, USSD, or other devices. Notably, this participation occurs independently through interaction with the organiser's electronic gaming platforms and related systems, without requiring direct involvement of the organiser's representatives.
  2. Organiser's Website - The organiser's official website, new.bolabet.co.zm, serves as the central hub for betting activities. It operates a gaming application and encompasses additional web pages with similar purposes, as may be subsequently published by the organiser.
  3. Bookmaking information system- The bookmaking information system is the comprehensive computer system employed by the organiser. It includes essential components such as hardware, an operating system, and application software, all dedicated to providing a seamless gaming experience.
  4. Username - The username, in this context, is the mobile number used as an identifier for entry into the player database. Combined with a password, it facilitates access to the bookmaking system.
  5. Password - The password is a unique combination of alphanumeric characters. Known exclusively to the players, it serves as a crucial element for verifying their identity when accessing and using the bookmaking system.

  16. Gender Disclaimer - The use of masculine or feminine genders, titles, or pronouns in these Terms and Conditions is inclusive of both genders and is not intended as a limitation based on gender.

Article 6 - Types and Specifics of Betting Activities

Betting represents a distinct form of gaming, where the organiser plays a role in determining the outcomes of sports and other events, along with their corresponding odds. Participants, in these continuous and daily pools, have the freedom to choose bets (types) predicting outcomes based on previously established events.

The date and time specified for the start of a sports or other event in the betting offer, whether in printed or electronic form, serve solely for informational purposes. The actual start time is determined based on official sources.

"In-play" or "Live Betting" introduces a special form of betting that allows participants to place bets on events during play or during breaks (quarters, thirds, halftime, etc.).

The rules for "In-play" or “Live Betting” are generally aligned with those for pre-match betting unless explicitly stated otherwise by the organiser. These exceptions will be clearly communicated to all participants.

Article 7 - Scope of Betting Categories and Events

These rules have universal application, encompassing betting within group and individual sports disciplines, as well as various events suitable for betting. Participants can place bets, as specified by these rules, on:

  1. Outcomes of individual and/or group sports and other events.
  2. Precisely defined and specified events during competitions: In a football match, for instance, various aspects are considered, such as the total number of goals, the precise final score, the number of goals during the first half and at the conclusion of the game, the player from each team who will score the initial goal, the player or team expected to score the highest number of goals, the half in which most goals are likely to be scored, and who achieves the highest or lowest goal count, among other factors
  3. Winter sports (ice skating, skiing, ski jumping etc.): This category includes sports like skiing, snowboarding, ice hockey, and figure skating. Bettors can place bets on competitions and outcomes in these winter sports.
  4. Athletic disciplines: Athletics cover events like track and field, including sprints, long jumps, and shot put. Betting can involve predicting winners, times, distances, or even specific achievements of athletes.
  5. Martial Arts: This typically includes sports like boxing, mixed martial arts (MMA), and wrestling. Bets can be placed on the outcomes of matches, rounds won, or even specific moves within a fight
  6. Animal racing: This involves events like horse racing, greyhound racing, and even events like camel racing in some regions. Betting options can include picking winners, placing, or show bets.
  7. Water Sports: Water sports encompass activities like swimming, diving, and sailing. Betting options may include predicting winners, times, or even specific feats like world records.
  8. Gymnastic: Gymnastics events include artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, and trampoline. Bets can be placed on individual and team performances, scores, and routines.
  9. Cycling: Cycling events, including road races and track cycling, provide opportunities for betting on race winners, stage winners, and time trials.
  10. Motorsports: This category covers events like Formula 1, MotoGP, and NASCAR. Bets can involve predicting race winners, pole positions, and specific race outcomes.
  11. Billiards: Billiards and snooker offer opportunities to bet on match outcomes, specific scores, and even outcomes of individual shots.
  12. Golf: Golf betting typically involves predicting tournament winners, top finishers, and specific statistics like hole-in-ones.
  13. Success of participants in entertainment-sports competitions: This can include events like reality TV shows, where participants compete in various challenges. Bettors may wager on who will win or be eliminated.
  14. Musical competitions: Events like talent shows and singing competitions can also be subject to betting, with wagers on the winners and specific performances.
  15. Any unpredictable event offered for betting by the organizer: This is a broad category that can encompass virtually any event for which betting is organized. It allows for flexibility in offering bets on unique or unusual occurrences.

In summary, these rules provide a comprehensive framework for betting on a wide range of sports, events, and activities, allowing participants to engage in wagering on various aspects of these events as specified by the rules and the organiser.

Article 8 - Provision and Accuracy of Event Information.

  1. The organiser of the betting activities makes known the specific events mentioned in Article 7, which include a wide range of sports and other activities available for betting. This information is made public by incorporating it into a schedule or program of events. This schedule is easily accessible to potential players through the organiser's website.
  2. Importantly, the schedule is not static; it undergoes periodic updates to ensure that it always reflects the most current offerings of sports events and other activities available for betting. This means that as new events become available or existing ones are modified, the schedule is adjusted accordingly to provide accurate and up-to-date information to potential players. The goal is to keep players informed about the available betting options and the events they can participate in through the betting platform.
  3. Bolabet strives to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the information provided on its platform, including event listings, odds, rules, and related details. However, Bolabet does not guarantee the absolute accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of such information.
  4. Bolabet acknowledges that human errors, technical glitches, or other unforeseen circumstances may occasionally lead to inaccuracies or omissions in the information presented on its platform. These errors may pertain to event schedules, odds, rules, or any other relevant content.
  5. In the event that Bolabet identifies errors or inaccuracies, it reserves the right to rectify such mistakes promptly. This may involve updating event information, adjusting odds, or making necessary corrections to ensure the accuracy of the data.
  6. Bolabet disclaims any legal liability for losses or damages that may result directly or indirectly from errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the information provided on its platform. Participants in betting activities acknowledge the inherent risks associated with such activities, including the possibility of information-related errors.

  9. Bolabet is committed to continuous improvement and strives to minimize errors and inaccuracies. Feedback from participants is valued and helps in enhancing the overall user experience.
  10. By engaging in betting activities on Bolabet's platform, participants acknowledge and accept the possibility of errors or inaccuracies in the provided information. They also understand that Bolabet is dedicated to rectifying such mistakes when identified, but the organizer cannot be held legally responsible for any resulting consequences.

Article 9 - Understanding Key Concepts and Symbols in Sports Betting

Betting Types: In the world of sports betting, various symbols or signs are used to represent different outcomes in a game or match. These signs help participants specify what they are betting on. In football, for instance:

- "1" signifies that you are betting on the first-named team to win.

- "X" represents a bet on a draw or tie result.

- "2" indicates a wager on the second-named team to win.

Double Chances: Double chance bets offer a bit more flexibility as they cover two possible outcomes simultaneously. For example:

- "1 or X" means you are betting on either the first-named team to win or the match to end in a draw.

- "1 or 2" allows you to bet on either the first-named team winning or the second-named team winning.

- "X or 2" indicates a bet on either a draw or a victory for the second-named team.

Numerical and Letter Marks: Depending on the type of betting and the organizer’s offerings, you may encounter numerical symbols from "0" to "9," letter symbols like "A" or "W," or a combination of these marks. These symbols are used to represent specific elements in the betting context, and the organizer provides clear instructions on their usage.

Combinations: When you place multiple bets on different events or outcomes, you are creating a combination. The number of signs (bets) in a combination can vary based on the organizer’s selection of sporting events or other activities available for betting. This ensures that participants can tailor their bets to their preferences and strategies.

Systems: Betting systems are advanced strategies that allow players to generate a larger number of combinations from their bets. This can be particularly useful when betting on multiple events, providing a way to cover various scenarios and potentially increase the chances of winning.

Fix: In the context of playing systems, a "fix" is a specific event or outcome that is included in all combinations within a particular betting strategy. This ensures that a particular event is consistently part of all the bets placed within that system.

Understanding these concepts is crucial for participants to make informed betting decisions and to explore different strategies and options available in the world of sports and event betting.

Article 10 - The Mechanics and Significance of Odds in Sports Betting

"Odds" are decimal numbers predetermined by the organiser for each sports event, used to calculate winnings. Odds can be determined for each sports event individually, as part of a combination, or for the overall combination, as for all sports events making up that combination. The organiser reserves the right to change the odds displayed in the program of sports events. In that case, the odds taken into account are those valid at the time of betting.

What Are Odds in Sports Betting?

Odds are fundamental to sports betting, serving as numerical representations of the probability of various outcomes in a sports event. They are expressed as decimal numbers and are predetermined by the betting organiser. These odds are used to calculate potential winnings for participants.

Types of Odds:

Decimal Odds: This is the most common format used worldwide, including in Europe, Australia, and Canada. Decimal odds represent the potential return on a 1-unit bet, including the original stake. For example, if the odds are 2.50, a successful bet of 1 unit would yield a total return of 2.50 units (1 unit of profit plus the original stake).

Fractional Odds: These odds are primarily used in the United Kingdom and Ireland. They are presented as a fraction, such as 5/1. In this case, a successful bet of 1 unit would yield a profit of 5 units plus the original stake (for a total return of 6 units).

American Odds: Commonly used in the United States, these odds can be expressed as either positive or negative numbers. Positive odds (e.g., +250) indicate the potential profit on a 100-unit bet, while negative odds (e.g., -150) represent the amount you need to wager to profit 100 units.

The Role of Odds in Betting:

Probability Representation: Odds reflect the perceived likelihood of a particular outcome in a sports event. Lower odds typically indicate a higher probability of that outcome occurring, while higher odds suggest a lower probability.

Calculating Winnings: When a participant places a bet, they multiply the amount they wager by the odds. The result is the potential payout if their bet is successful. This includes both the profit and the return of the original stake less any prescribed facilitation fees charged by the organizer.

Determining Odds:

Individual Sports Events: Odds can be determined for each sports event individually. For example, if you're betting on a football match, there will be specific odds for outcomes like Team A winning, Team B winning, or the match ending in a draw. These odds reflect the bookmaker's assessment of the likelihood of each outcome.

Combination Bets: Odds can also be part of combination bets. In combination betting, participants select multiple events, and the odds for each event are combined to calculate potential winnings.

Overall Combination: In some cases, participants may place bets on multiple sports events as part of a single combination. In such instances, the odds for all the sports events making up that combination are used to determine potential winnings.

Changing Odds and Timing:

The betting organizer has the authority to change the odds displayed in the program of sports events. This can happen due to various factors, including changes in team dynamics, player injuries, or fluctuations in betting patterns.

When you place a bet, the odds that are taken into account for your wager are those that are valid at the precise moment of placing the bet. This means that if the odds change after you've placed your bet, your potential winnings are based on the odds at the time of betting, not the updated odds.

"Palpable Error" - In the event of errors made by the organizer regarding the game offerings, odds, coefficients, totals, handicap limits, or any mistakes related to the timing and location of a played game, the specified competition pair, or a team, among other factors, the organizer retains the right to declare the match invalid for all types of bets, even after the conclusion of the sports or other event. In such cases, the odds for that particular match will be set to one (1.00).

If, due to an inadvertent error, bets are accepted as part of a combination involving various sports or competition events (multiple events on a single ticket) with odds that could potentially influence or depend on each other (for instance, betting on a specific team or individual to win a competition and also to win a match within that same competition), those erroneous odds will be voided. The bet itself will then be recalculated based on the remaining valid pairs with odds (if any are present on the ticket).

The organizer may provide additional information for betting purposes, such as tables and statistics related to the competition, details about the venue (neutral ground), whether the game consists of two matches or is played on a two-wins basis, the result of a previous match if it's a rematch, the round of the competition, the type of playing surface, and similar details. However, it's important to note that the accuracy of this information is not the responsibility of the organizer.

Article 11 - Leveraging the Participation Multiplier for Enhanced Winnings

The “Participation multiplier” is a numerical factor that allows participants, upon making an additional payment, to determine how many times their combinations will be entered into the game. This multiplier essentially signifies how many opportunities the participant has to potentially increase their winnings in the event of a successful outcome.

In simple terms, it lets you decide how many chances you have to win with your selected combinations, provided you're willing to pay for each additional entry.

Article 12 - Navigating Handicap Betting in Sports Events

“Handicap” refers to an advantage, such as a lead in goals, points, or other relevant criteria, that the organizer grants in advance to a team or participant listed in the program of sports or other betting events.

The final outcome with a handicap is determined by adding the specified number of goals or points, as indicated by the handicap, to the actual number of goals or points scored by the team to which the handicap is assigned. It's important to note that handicaps are always assigned to the guest team or player, enhancing the betting experience by adjusting the odds.

Article 13 - Double Chance Betting Maximizing Your Odds

“Double chance” involves the selection of two potential outcomes within a single bet.

This betting option provides the flexibility to bet on two different results simultaneously, allowing participants to cover multiple scenarios and increase their chances of winning.

Article 14 - Creating Mixed Sport and Event Combinations

“Mix” represents a combination of two or more distinct sports or other events, as outlined in Article 7 of these rules, provided that the minimum conditions for the game combinations, as specified by the organizer in the sports or other events program, are met.

This option allows participants to create diverse betting combinations by selecting events from various categories while adhering to the organizer’s predefined criteria.

Article 15 The Anatomy of a Winning Combination

A "Winning combination"is the specific combination in which all the predicted outcomes of the chosen sport events are correctly guessed by the participant. In essence, it's the ideal scenario where all the bets placed within the combination turn out to be accurate, resulting in a successful outcome for the participant.

Article 16 - Minimum and Maximum Stake Per Bet

Minimum stake per bet is ZMW 1.00

Maximum stake per bet is ZMW 50,000.00

Maximum winning amount that can be paid to the participant is ZMW 1,000,000

Minimum amount that a participant can pay in for virtual games is ZMW 1.00

Maximum amount that a participant can pay in for virtual games on one ticket varies by game type.

Maximum winning amount that can be paid to the participant for virtual games varies by game type.

Article 17 - Understanding the Concept of "Account Balance" in Betting and the Maximum Winnings Threshold

The "account balance" represents the total sum of the unused deposits made by the participant and the winnings accumulated by the participant in betting and is not predetermined.

The maximum amount an individual participant can win within a thirty (30) day period is ZMW 2,000,000. This limit applies to all bets placed on the organiser's platform.

The organiser reserves the right to cancel any bets placed within the thirty (30) day period following the customer reaching the ZMW 2,000,000 maximum winnings limit threshold. Any bets placed after the winnings limit has been reached are subject to cancellation at the discretion of the organiser.

If a participant reaches the maximum thirty (30) day winnings threshold of ZMW 2,000,000, the organiser reserves the right to withdraw the customer's access to the betting platform for the remainder of the thirty (30) day period.

The organiser reserves the right to refuse payment of any winnings derived from bets placed during the thirty (30) day period after the customer has reached the ZMW 2,000,000 maximum winnings threshold. In such cases, any affected bets may be cancelled.

In the event of bet cancellations due to exceeding the winnings limit, the organiser shall refund the deposits made by the participant for those cancelled bets.

Example:

If a participant wins ZMW 2,000,000 on the 15th of a given month, any additional bets placed within the next fifteen (15) days—up to and including the 30th—are subject to cancellation. For instance, if the customer places a bet on the 20th and wins ZMW 100,000, the organiser may cancel this bet and refund the customer’s stake. The customer’s access to the betting platform may also be restricted until the 30-day period has elapsed.

Article 18 - General Conditions Governing "Account" Betting

The general conditions, as defined by the organiser of account betting ("Account" betting), govern and regulate the contractual relationships between the organiser and clients.

"Account" betting entails the organizing of games of chance via the internet and other telecommunication means, allowing clients to independently participate in games by interacting with the system without the need for direct contact with the organizer’s representatives.

The contractual relationship between the organiser and clients becomes effective upon successful registration, during which the client fully accepts these rules, terms and conditions. The contract itself is indefinite, and either party can terminate it without prior notice.

By placing a bet, a client acknowledges and accepts these Rules, terms and conditions, confirms their reading and comprehension, and fully accepts them without reservation. Ignorance of the rules or subjective interpretation cannot be used as grounds for cancelling bets.

In the event of a dispute, a participant cannot claim ignorance of these rules or make demands of the organizer based on such claims.

Article 19 - The Process of Placing Bets: Participant Guidelines and Rights

Betting participants make their selections on the organizer’s website, through SMS, or USSD. Bets are placed by selecting the sport or other events they wish to bet on and choosing bet types as outlined in Article 9 of these rules. All betting participants are required to adhere to the explanations provided in the sport or other event program.

The organizer reserves the right, at any moment, partly or completely, without giving any additional explanations, not to accept the bets of a player/players.

Upon accepting a bet, the organizer processes the payment and issues the participant with a certified confirmation of their participation in the betting game. This confirmation automatically registers on the participant’s account and includes information such as

  1. a ticket code,
  2. the date and time of payment,
  3. the selected game,
  4. the payment amount received,
  5. and the potential winnings.

This confirmation serves as evidence of the participant's involvement in the betting, allowing them to claim their possible winnings.

Article 20 - Adhering to Minimum and Maximum Betting Conditions

The organizer establishes and publishes minimum payment conditions before the start of betting. Participants are obliged to adhere to the minimum and maximum number of sport or other events for each type of betting in the manner specified by the organizer in the sport or other event program.

Article 21 - Irrevocability of Placed Bets, A Rule for Maintaining Betting Integrity

Cancellation of a betting ticket after placing the stake is not possible. Once a participant has placed a bet, they cannot request to cancel it. It's important to carefully consider and review your selections before finalizing your bet.

In other words, once you've confirmed and placed your bet, you cannot change your mind or cancel it, so it's crucial to make your selections wisely and ensure they align with your preferences and intentions. This rule is in place to maintain the integrity and fairness of the betting process.

Article 22 - Restrictions on Multiple Bets for the Same Event, Ensuring Fair Play

A participant is prohibited from placing multiple bets on the same sport or other event within one combination, unless explicitly permitted by the organizer in the sport and other event program.

If the same event is indicated in the combination one or more times, the combination is considered void, and the customer will be refunded.

It is not possible to repeat the same combination on multiple tickets. The same combination is deemed repeated if at least three events on the ticket are not different.

Article 23 - Payment Deadline

Participants are required to make payments for their bets no later than the start of the first sporting event or other event they are wagering on, unless the organiser has specified an alternative time. If a payment is made for betting on sporting events that have already started or concluded (excluding "Live" betting), the organiser reserves the right to declare such events as irregular and assign odds of 1.00 (one), unless stated otherwise by the organiser. It is essential to ensure that payments are completed before the relevant event begins to avoid any complications.

Article 24 - Publication of Official Results

Following the conclusion of all sporting or other events that were subject to betting, the organiser shall, within 24 hours, publish an official report detailing the outcomes of the sporting or other events listed in the betting program. This report may be disseminated in printed or electronic format.

The official result is the one achieved during the regular course of a match or competition. For example:

In football, the regular course of a match is considered to be 2 halves of 45 minutes each.

In basketball, it consists of 4 periods of 10 minutes each (or 4 periods of 12 minutes each in the "NBA" league).

In ice hockey, it comprises 3 periods of 20 minutes each,

In handball, 2 halves of 30 minutes each.

This standard applies unless otherwise specified by the organizer.

Overtime and penalty shootouts (e.g., 11-meter penalties in football, 7-meter penalties in handball, free throws in basketball, etc.) are not considered part of the regular course of the game or competition, except for baseball, which continues until a final winner is determined, unless the organizer states otherwise.

Any subsequent decisions or result changes made by third parties or commissions, such as the disqualification of a team or individual, and similar matters, will not be taken into account, unless otherwise specified by the organizer.

The organizer determines the official result of sporting or other events based on official reports officially released by the organizers of sports or other competitions (national or international associations, leagues, cups, etc.).

Official sources of information for result determination may be found on the official website of the competition organizer, the official website of the first-named team or individual, the official website of the second-named team or individual, and other credible sources.

Websites that provide live results and final outcomes, including statistics, are not considered valid sources during the result determination process. In cases where conflicting information is obtained from these sites, the official result shall be the one that is clearly specified by the source at the highest level in the following hierarchy:

  1. Official website of the competition organizer
  2. Official website of the first-named team or player
  3. Official website of the second-named team or player
  4. Other reliable means of information.

Article 25 - Sporting Event Rules

If there is a rescheduling of the time for a sporting or competitive event, any results will remain valid as long as an alternative match commences within 48 hours of the originally scheduled start time.

Should the sporting or competitive event fail to take place or commence within the 48 hour time frame stipulated above, the event shall be deemed invalid, with a corresponding betting odd of one (1.00).

Any results from a match that is either resumed or newly initiated after the 48-hour deadline specified will not be recognised unless otherwise stated by the organiser.

In case when the event that is the subject of betting is interrupted for any reason (even if that happens in the last minute of the match), and it doesn’t continue and finishes in the stated deadline, followed rules apply, defined for every sport:

For tournament competitions and head-to-head matches: No emphasis is placed on the hosting venue when determining the betting offer. All participants are considered to be competing on neutral ground, irrespective of their country of origin, the event organizer, or the venue.

For Football, American Football, Rugby, Basketball, Handball, Hockey, Volleyball, and Water Polo: Should a match be interrupted prior to its official conclusion, the result will be deemed invalid for any unsettled bets, with an associated odd of one (1.00). For bets on aspects of the match where the outcome is already determined and would not be affected by a change in the score, the bets will be settled based on the status at the moment of interruption.

Example 1:

Match Arsenal – Chelsea is interrupted in the 33rd minute in the first half at the 0:0 result.

In this case match will be acknowledged as invalid and for all the games odd is one (1,00).

Example 2:

Match Arsenal – Chelsea is interrupted in 43rd minute in the first half at the 3:0 result.

For all the games of which the outcome is known at the moment of the interruption and where the game itself is finished (in case of changing result nothing would affect the change of the outcome of the played game) the result is valid and all placed bets will be processed. In this case, next games will be processed as winning games: home team scores first goal (FG1), total goals in the match 2+ and 3+, total goals in the first half I 1+, I 2+ and I 3+, home team scores H2+ and H3+, home team scores in the first half I H1+, I H2+ , home team scores first goal in the first half (I FG1) and other. Games that are not winning in this case would be: away team scores first goal (FG2), total goals in the match 0-1, (G1) - exact 1 goal , 0-2, 1-2, (G2) - exact 2 goals; total goals in the first half: (I G0) - 0 goals in the first half, (I 0-1) - 0 or 1 goal in the first half, (I 1-2) - 1 or 2 goals in the first half; home team doesn’t score, home team scores exactly 1 goal in the match ( I H G1), home team scores exactly 2 goals in the match (I H G2), home team scores 1-2 goals in the match (H1-2), mix games: 1&0-2, 2&0-2, NGI & GGII, NGI & NGII, 1&0-2, 12&0-2, X2&0-2, both teams not to score in the first half (I FGX), away team scores first goal in the first half (I FG2) etc.

Example 3:
